Heather approaches yoga as an art form honoring diverse styles and traditions of yoga. As an Interdisciplinary Yoga Instructor she draws her teaching style from training in Ashtanga, Kripalu and Iyengar foundations. She encourages students to explore and unleash their creative energy through asana, pranayama and meditation. Her classes are energetic, creative and challenging, bringing together the power of the breath and movement in a dynamic flow of fluid movement.

Heather is a Yoga Alliance E200-hour certified instructor through the Nosara Yoga Institute (NYI) in Costa Rica. She has also completed Advanced Training at NYI, Prana Vinyasa Teacher Trainings with Shiva Rea and Ashtanga teacher training with Manju Jois. As an E-200 teacher, she has over 1000 teaching hours and conducts training and workshops as a Yoga Educator.  She is also a certified Yoga Ed™ teacher and brings yoga to students and teachers through the Yoga Ed. for schools program. Heather developed a deep personal practice while living in  Baku, Azerbaijan for three years, where she also opened and taught at Urban Yoga-Baku Studio.

Heather also specializes in sports specific classes and workshops. As an avid mountain biker, tennis player, runner and skier, she brings her knowledge of these sports to the mat, creating dynamic classes that help build strength and flexibility to enhance athletic performance.
