New to Yoga?
Like trying anything new, you may feel uneasy, but we are here to support you in your yoga journey. The great thing about yoga is you always practice from where you are, and at your own ability. There is no competition or judgment in our yoga classes. Yoga is a personal experience. All you have to do is come and enjoy being in your body.
You do not need to be “flexible” to do yoga. Everyone is physically different. It is more productive to have a flexible mind as you get to know yourself and find comfort in your practice. As you progress in your practice, you will gain not only flexibility, but strength and focus.
New Client Special: 2 weeks of Unlimited Yoga for only $30! Since we are not a style-based studio where teachers fit their classes into a prescribed framework, you’ll find that every class and every teacher is different. During these 2 weeks, please try as many class and teachers as possible so you can find what you enjoy best. Yoga is not a one-size-fits-all experience!
When Coming to a Yoga Class
ૐ Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. No need for fancy “yoga clothes”.
ૐ Be prepared to practice in bare feet.
ૐ Bring a bottle of water.
ૐ We have loaner yoga mats, but you are encouraged to bring your own. We will provide all other props as necessary.
ૐ Try to avoid eating a large meal before practice.
ૐ Plan on having fun, moving your body, and learning to love the moment!
We encourage you to find freedom in your practice and discover a yoga program that works for you. The more you practice yoga (in a class or in your life) the quicker you will feel the benefits. We recommend you practice 2-3 days a week. Yoga is not a goal, but an art and science that will help you live life to its fullest.
If you are new to yoga the Beginner Foundations is a great way to get started. New yoga students are also encouraged to attend All Levels classes.

Please feel free to attend any yoga class you wish, modifications for postures are always offered. At Sage Yoga & Wellness you will be encouraged to challenge yourself, but your own wisdom in your practice will always be honored.
Life is about showing up…and so is Yoga…Just come to class!
